They have to be touching each other or around each other. To place a corner bet, place your chip in the centre point of where the four numbers meet on the square.

We’ll share with you how to make a corner bet at roulette. You can choose to bet corners in all roulette casino games, including American Roulette, French Roulette, and European Roulette. A corner bet is where you place a bet on four numbers that make a square on the table’s layout.

You cannot just bet on 4 random numbers; only specific numbers will work when using this bet, such as 1, 2, 4, and 5 or 17, 18, 20, and 21.

1. The first thing you need to do when playing roulette is to understand the game’s setup. Typically, the roulette table is laid out the same in all versions. It displays all numbers from the roulette wheel, with specific areas set aside for certain bets. These are clearly labelled on the roulette table, making this game easy to learn. The roulette wheel is different for each version of the game. American Roulette has 38 pockets numbered 0-36 and a 00, while French Roulette  and European Roulette have 37 pockets numbered 0-36. All the zeros are green, and the other numbers are red or black.

A corner bet, or square bet, is a bet you can make in roulette that forms a square. It involves betting on 4 numbers. The corner bet pays out at odds of 8 to 1, meaning if you bet ￡1, you would receive your ￡1 back plus ￡8 in winnings. If you were to bet ￡2, you would receive ￡18 back, your ￡2 wager and ￡16 in winnings.

What’s The Probability Of Winning A Corner Bet? 

A corner bet pays out at odds of 8:1. This is the same for American Roulette, European Roulette, French Roulette, and other online casino roulette games.

However, due to the different number of pockets in European and French Roulette vs American Roulette, the probability of winning the corner bet is slightly different. In European and French roulette, as there are 37 pockets, the chances of winning a corner bet are 4 in 37; this is a probability of 10.8%. On the other hand, in American Roulette, where there are 38 pockets, the likelihood of winning a corner bet is slightly lower due to the extra 00 pocket; this puts the probability at 10.5%.

So, although they both pay out at the same odds of 8:1, you are marginally more likely to win a corner bet in European and French Roulette than in American Roulette.
